AllMusic Review by Heather Phares
Dez Dickerson's Oneman blends the distinctive guitar style he forged as the guitarist for Prince and the Revolution with his born-again Christianity. Released on his own Absolute Records label, Oneman keeps Dickerson's music itself at the forefront - songs like (Hello Again) and( For You For Me) showcase his guitar technique and his compositional skills, which recall his days with the Revolution as well as classic pop and rock influences like the Beatles. Meanwhile, Dickerson's beliefs play a strong yet non-preachy role in Oneman's songs, particularly on (Fall Into Me) and (Real To Me) both of which testify to the songwriter/guitarists deeply held faith. Appearances from the Rembrandt's Phil Solem, Michael Bland and Newboy's Jody Davis make Oneman an enjoyable, accessible CCM album.
